About the Video Library

This is a new concept that we are developing specifically for Chicago MECDA members because we really want to make this chapter an essential part of your ongoing belly dance education. 

If you have videos you no longer use and would like to contribute, please feel free to contact Sumaya.

Terms of Use

1. You must fill out, sign and mail the Video Release Contract to Sumaya.

2. You must send Sumaya a $50 deposit check made out to Chicago MECDA  I know it sounds like a lot, but this check will only be cashed if the video is returned more than one week late. We will hold the check until it expires so you do not have to write a $50 check for every rental. Upon expiration, we will request a new check and rip up the old one, or return it to you. 

3. Videos must be returned 16 days from the date postmarked on the package you receive containing the video/DVD. If the video/DVD is not returned 23 days, you check will be deposited. Please be timely and return videos on their due date as a courtesy to other renters. 

4. If the video is returned damaged, we will deposit your check.

5. You may not make copies of the DVD's or Videos.

6. For the moment, Chicago MECDA will not charge for shipping (it costs about $3.18 via media mail). In the future as library use grows, it will be the responsibility of the individual to pay for shipping costs (confirmation and insurance) via PayPal.

To rent videos, please email Sumaya (sumayadance@gmail.com) with "Video Rental" in the subject line. 

In the body, please enter the following information

1) Name

2) Address

3) Phone Number

4) MECDA Member # 

5)Video name and Code #

After receiving your email, you will receive payment instructions. You can pay via PayPal (there is a convenience fee for using PayPal) or by an additional check, made out to MECDA Chicago. The video or DVD will arrive with a return envelope already postmarked. You have two weeks and two days from the postmarked date to make the return.
